Perrachica \ Madrid

I am just realizing that all of the restaurants reviewed in Bon Voyage Andy are placed in the Chamberi neighborhood! This is not on purpose, just destiny (and the hotel’s location I guess).

The final restaurant that I would like to share with you is Perrachica. The decor of the place is called “industrial colonialism”, so there you go. Its kind of hipster-50’s style-industrial-colonialish-upscale restaurant, but this does not mean it is bad. First of all, you need to make a reservation, it is always packed. You can reserve either inside (in the Salon) or in the terrace. We chose to be in the terrace, since we knew the weather would be up for it.

Pro tip: Reserve in advance directly on their website

What I liked the most in terms of food, were the starters. First we got the hummus and tempura eggplant. It was delish!

Then, we had the beef and vegetable gyozas (korean dish in a spanish restaurant, yes sir), which were really good!

PC5

Finally, I had the smoked tuna carpaccio. I have to say that I as a little bit disappointed since the starters were SO good, but the main dish turned out to be “meh”. My friend had the fancy kebab, but it was disappointing as well. What I suggest is to grab several starters instead of a main dish, it was not the first time that we encountered a great restaurant in Madrid where only the appetizers were worth it.

So in a nutshell, come here for the starters, the ambiance, and the decor.
